We had a mad busy week last week, what with having a huge batch of samples to send off, and orders to complete! And, as it was also our anniversary, we decided a nice easy long weekend was in order! We gave ourselves Friday off to celebrate our Anniversary…pressie wise I thought I would put together all of our emails from when we first got together, in order (which took some doing let me tell you…there were tonnes!) and then found a lovely little company that print & bind them together for you into a gorgeous book! I think its a really cute idea (but it was my idea so I guess I would wouldn’t I?)Our Anniversary Gifts

Then Andrew…being the little cutie that he is, put together abit of a treasure hunt for my present…the clues led me all around the house, into the shed (to collect some beautiful lilies…they’re massive!) & back into the house again, where I found my ‘prize’…anĀ Anti-Oxident Packed bar of Chocolate! Now, I don’t wish to sound ungrateful, but at this point I wasn’t too impressed…when Andrew insisted we try this magical bar of chocolate I considered throwing it at him…but dutifully got on with it anyway…opened the bar, and inside found…wait for it…a golden ticket, entitling me (well, us!) to a week in the sun!!! Yay!!! Its very sweet, and as soon as we get a spare moment, (we are hoping early June!) we are off to get ourselves a tan! Hooray!

We managed to pop in abit of shopping into our day too (check out Andrews new yellow sunnies…in preparation for our holiday!) And after a scrummy Thai meal, Andrew thought it was a good idea to crack open the Grappa! (I’d just like to add that I didn’t partake in this silly idea! Stone cold sober, thats me!)Andrews new glasses!

During our trip to the shops, we picked up a BBQ…Andrew is the BBQ king, but since moving into our new house we haven’t had the opportunity (or more importantly, the weather!) to get one! So we decided Saturday was the day to make it up…now, we aren’t bad at the old Ikea malarkey, but this BBQ was something else! The instructions told you in a not very accurate manner what to do, and was followed with, as shown. Which is all very well, but the photos were black…you couldn’t make anything out! So it took us a fair few hours to put the thing together! And then, by the time we were done, it was absolutely pouring with rain! Boo! Fingers crossed we get at least one day of sunshine next week!Making the BBQAs soon as it has stopped raining for more than 2 seconds I’ll nip out and take a pic…until then you’ll have to make do with the work in progress photos!

We seem to have had abit of a run on all things monochrome this week…
