Just a little update - after my Open Studio event last weekend - showing my letterpress work - I got in conversation with a retired printer who knew all about the &#039;Cropper Company&#039; - the term &#039;to come a cropper&#039; relates to printers catching their hands in the printing press whilst printing - it was common to squash your fingers, trying to retrieve a slipped print. So you have a English language history as well as printing history.

Hope all is going well with the press.
